Hi kids!

If I can stop one heart from breaking

I shall not live in vain.

If I can ease one life’s aching

Or cool one pain

Or help one fainting robin

Unto his nest again,

I shall not live in vain.

— Emily Dickinson

Reading these simple lines, did you realize what a strong message the poet has given? It’s a lesson in life and if everyone makes it a guiding point the world would be a far better place than it is today. No one would be hurting anyone and everybody would be helping others. And this should be the purpose of one’s life. A life spent in good deeds is a life well spent.

Help does not mean doing a great favour; it can be a small gesture that may prove to be a life-saver for the other person. Sometimes you may be helping someone without even realizing you are doing so. For instance, when you help someone cross the road, or lift some heavy weight, it is not a big deal for you but it may have helped the other person immensely.

Make it a habit to do good by others. You will not only help them but also yourself. If you do one good deed a day, at the end of the day you will feel that you have spent the day well.

Take care!

Bye!

Ed
