Hi kids!

IT’S again that time of year when we tell our mums how much we love them, appreciate what they have done for us — from the days when we were helpless beings, unable even to know or tell our needs. Somehow our mothers always knew what we wanted, and how we felt. Whenever we needed them, they were by our side. It is so rightly said that only a mother can understand what a child needs.

Mother’s Day is celebrated on the second Sunday of May all over the world. Though you may say that there shouldn’t be a day fixed to express our love for our mothers. It should be done all the time. But Mother’s Day at least gives us an opportunity to make our feelings known by giving a gift to that very special person. Each and every day of our life we should take some time out to show her that we love her and care for her. Didn’t she take a lot of time from her life, indeed devote her life, almost entirely, to care for us? We can spend some time with her, help her around the house or run some errands for her or simply give her a big hug that says all that can’t be said in words.

Following the tradition of Mother’s Day, allow me to tell my mother that I love her more than anyone else in the world, that I am what I am just because she cared for me whenever I needed her and protected me from all harm, and because she gave me the confidence to face the world without any fear.

Happy Mother’s Day to all mothers — and their children.

Have a nice weekend!

Bye!

Ed
