Spy Kids 2 — The Island of Lost Dreams is a novel based on the major motion picture Spy Kids 2. Top Spy Kids Carmen and Juni Cortez are on a new sizzling mission from the OSS. They are top agents of the OSS and there was no one better for the job.

Trouble begins at the Troublemaker studios Theme Park where someone steels the government’s top-secret Transmooker device, which will destroy the entire planet if activated. The Cortezes are called to help and in the DragonSpy sub, the skilled Spy Kids take off on their quest to a deserted Island to get the device back.

To their terror, their spy gadgets don’t work on the mysterious island so they need their spy brainpower more than ever. Above all that, the Cortez kids also have to deal with their mean rival OSS Spy Kids, Gary and Gerti Giggles who are top spy competition as the Giggleses followed the Cortezes to Leeke Leeke Island.

Their mission becomes tougher with their rivals right behind their backs. With no spy gadgets in hand, Carmen and Juni have to stop the device from being activated or the world as we know it will end.

With Robert Rodriguez’s screenplay the novel has been adapted by Kiki Thorpe. The central characters are Carmen and Junie and their family who save the world and the rest of the spies. The beginning of the novel is quite monotonous but the action sequences in the story where the Spy Kids are trying to solve the case cover it up.
