After the success of Baby one more time and Oops! I did it again, pop princess Britney Spears has come up with yet another album, Britney. In this album she tells about her teenage years and shows a lot more maturity and sings in a different style than her previous albums, with excellent lyrics and with great dance beats.
It shows that she has grown up. The album starts with I am a slave for you, which is a good song to start with. Then comes Overprotected, which had also received a Grammy Awards nomination. This song is completely different from her other songs, with excellent vocals and lyrics. In this song she tells about her overprotected life.
In the next track, lonely, Britney talks about her loneliness. Then comes I am not a girl, Not yet a woman, which I think is the best one. This is also a beautiful song, in which she tells about her mental growth as well as sends mixed messages on her teen innocence and womanhood. I love rock n roll, That’s where you take me and What it’s like to be me are just okay songs. Anticipating is a really good song. Cinderella is another very sweet song, where she speaks about her sadness and being betrayed. Boys has got a lot of ‘fun’ in it. Here she ‘speaks’ more than sings, emphasizing the importance of boys for girls! Bombastic love is also good, but my favourite is Let me be, in which Britney talks about her individuality.
Overall, this album is a big treat for all Britney Spears fans!
