A thrilling acting talent competition that brought the acting talent of students to life. Funkar Fun started first day of the Karachi City of Our Future 2003 at 10:00 am. The contest areas were decorated to create the right theatre ambiance. With two hours of creative performances the participants acted to their fullest capabilities and expertise.

Mr Mubashir Khan - Hair stylist and a Make-up Artist. Mr. Khan runs his own salon by the name of “Mubashir Khan Salon” were his clients are treated with his undivided attention.
13 - 14 years
Ms Shanaz Ramzi - A freelance writer and also an editor of a national magazine, Ms. Ramzi has contributed articles in various publications including Herald, The Review, Imaged and Women’s Own.
15 - 17 years
Mr. Babar Sheikh - A graduate from the Indus Valley School of Art and Architecture, Mr. Sheikh runs his own production house by the name of Diagram that deals with Music videos, short films, corporate documentaries and TV commercials to name a few.
Mr. Tapu Javeri - a freelance photographer and painter, Mr Javeri’s work can be seen in various places. His interest also lies in jewellry designing which is his family business.
How the Activity rolled on......
The participants of Funkar Fun were grouped into teams of three and were asked to pick up three cards from three different boxes.
* Card one was an area in Karachi - e.g Nazimabad, Hawksbay
* Card two - Object related to Karachi - e.g. Pan, Ajrak
* Card three - Person related to Karachi - e.g Abrar, Quad-e-Azam, Based on these three words the team was required to create a skit with a concept. The participants were given about half an hour to create the skit. Each team was given approximately 10 minutes to perform in front of the judges who judged them there and then on their creative skills and significance of the words used in the skit. With creative thoughts and good interpersonal skills, the participants did a brilliant job in putting up theatre style performances.
