Movie: Daredevil

By Taimur Saleem

After Spiderman, Daredevil is the next most auspicious and opulent translation of a comic book hero into a blockbuster movie and it seems that now the tradition is going to continue, with the Hulk following suit soon.

The graphics and the cinematography of this movie are simply mind blowing.

The acting is outstanding and the sound track is groovy too. Together with the adrenaline-pumping fight and chase sequences, this is surely one movie that you will not forget; well at least not for a long time.

Daredevil stars Ben Affleck as Matt Murdock, the Daredevil. Matt’s father was brutally killed at an early age by some thugs and hoodlums. Hence, Matt was orphaned at an early age, leaving him emotionally scarred; but his life takes an unforeseen turn when he comes into contact with some radioactive waste that impairs his vision (making him blind in the process) and gives him a special “radar-sense”. Now, even though he is blind but all his other senses have become very potent. Thus blindness comes as a blessing in disguise for him. He sails through life in and grows up to be an attorney. But that’s not half of what he actually does. Putting his killer instincts, unprecedented talents, lethal senses and venturesome spirit to good use he decides to fight crime. When the day depart and the night spins in, Matt assumes another role; the role of a saviour, the role of an avenger and a retaliator, the role of the Daredevil, the guardian of all the oppressed!
