Recipe: Fun in the kitchen


Chocolate Drink


Ingredients:

2 tsp chocolate
1 cup milk
3 tsp cream
2 tsp sugar
2 crushed chocolates
Crushed ice cubes


Method
Mix the milk, chocolate, cream, sugar and blend until smooth. Then add the crushed chocolate and crushed ice. Chocolate drink is ready. Garnish with the rest of the chocolate, some wafers and don’t forget to put the straw.

Chocolate shake


Ingredients:

1 tbsp drinking chocolate
1 tbsp sugar
1/2 cup milk (fresh)
1 tbsp cream/malai
1 scoop ice cream (chocolate/vanilla)
3-4 ice cubes


Method
Blend milk, cream, sugar and chocolate in an electric blender for 2-3 minutes. Then add ice cream and ice cubes and blend for 1 minute. Pour into a glass. Serve chilled. For dressing add another 1/2 scoop of ice cream and a little drinking chocolate on top.

Vanilla Shake is made in the same way with all the ingredients except drinking chocolate.

 

Fluffy toast


Ingredients

1 egg
1 slice of bread butter


Method
Butter the toast and keep it aside. Separate the yolk of the egg from the white and fry the yolk. Place the fried yolk on the bread. Beat the egg white with an electric beater till the egg white turns fluffy. Place the fluffy egg white on top of the bread and try to make it look like a mountain. Bake in an oven till it turns golden brown. Sprinkle salt and pepper for dressing. Serve hot or cold.

Tea cake


Ingredients

I/2 lb flour
1 tsp baking powder
Salt to taste
4 oz margarine
2 oz castor sugar
1 oz sultanas
1 egg
Milk to mix


Method
Sieve flour, baking powder and salt together and blend with margarine. Add sugar and sultanas, and mix into a soft dough using the beaten eggs and milk. Turn on to a floured board, roll out and cut into small circles. Brush with egg and bake in a hot oven for 15 mins.
