On Air: Achanak
PTV has always given its viewers extremely remarkable drama serials but nowadays the introduction of glamour in every play has lowered the worth of these plays. However, there are still some noteworthy production such as the play Achanak aired every Friday at 7:45 pm. Even though the play is basically a tragedy, yet the comic element in the play livens the spirit to a great extent. The lead role is played by Kashif Mehmood, an innocent man who marries three women all under pressure when he himself loves another girl who goes abroad. It is again the story of landlords (Waderas) and their cruelty, but is presented in a different way. The unique thing about this play is that there is no background music, this helps the viewer to listen to the dialogues clearly. Achanak, is also re-telecasted on Saturday at 9:30 am only on PTV, so don’t forget to watch it.
