Web Site: Mail to Simpson

By T. U. Dawood

Send one e-mail this week to Homer Simpson at chunkylover53@aol.com. In a recent episode of the “Simpsons,” a private eye hired by Homer to spy on his daughter Lisa emailed him at that address. After the episode, thousands of fans began sending email to the address as a joke, and were surprised when they received responses from “Homer.” Actually, “Simpsons” writer-producer Matt Selman registered the email address before the episode aired in the United States and has been attempting to answer each and every e-mail as Homer and give advice.

This genuine care for fans is possibly one of the reasons the hit show is now in its 14th season with strong ratings and has already been renewed for two more years! Due to the large volume of fan emails being received, emails may be returned because the account is “over quota.” Still, it’s not every day that you have Homer personally attempt to solve your problems. D-oh!
