DEAR DIARY: Dreams do come true

By Tazeen Qureshi

Dear diary,

Daydreamers are considered to be foolish. But today I will tell you the story of a daydreamer whose dreams really came true.

Sarah had always wanted to be a famous pop star someday. She often told her friends and family about this dream of hers, but they never took her seriously. They always told her to stop daydreaming as becoming a singer was no child’s play.

But this was her dream and she refused to let go. She worked diligently and participated in a number of competitions. Luckily, her teachers at school were very cooperative and liked her singing. The principal always said that her voice was resonant and lucid. As she stepped out of school at the age of 16, she sang for the MCC (Music Channel Chart). Her song hit the charts and she received a lot of appreciation. At this point she was overwhelmed with joy, as she felt that her dream was finally being realized.

After a while she released her own album, it hit the charts as well and she was appreciated by all and became very famous.

Sarah’s story inspired me a lot. I realized that dreams do come true, all you need is dedication and perseverance for that to happen. If you follow your dreams with dedication and hard work you are sure to get what you want.
