SUPER SIS

Dear Super Sis,
I’ve a big problem. One of my class fellows is after me! He gave me a card, which I thought was for ‘Eid’, but when I opened it at home I found it was for ‘friendship’. He says that he really ‘loves’ me and wants my answer! Please tell me what to do. I don’t want to get involved in these things, as I prefer to concentrate on my studies.
Confused Cancerian!

I don’t think he’s really after you. As you say, all he wants is an answer. Well, give him your answer. If you don’t have the nerve to say it to him, you can give him a small note explaining your position. You can tell him that you’re just not in to this stuff at all.

Dear Super Sis,
I am very sick and I have my exams coming up. I don’t want to take my exams because everything I learn I would forget in ten minutes. I have told my parents a million times that I am sick but they do not believe me. What should I do?
Worried Taurean

I don’t believe you either! I don’t think there is any illness that would make you forget things, except amnesia, and I’m sure you don’t have that.

It’s true that when you’re not at par it’s more difficult to concentrate on, absorb and retain information, but that’s not a good enough excuse to give up. I’m glad you have sensible parents. Now stop making excuses, take some good medicines (some vitamins and supplements too, perhaps, to boost you), and hit the books.
