Cricket ties
I think we should not mix sports with politics. It is unfortunate that India and Pakistan no longer share their sports ties. The people of both the countries want to see them play against each other. I am not complaining about the BCCP officials as they have tried their best to convince their Indian counterparts to resume their sporting ties with us. All we can hope for now is that our neighbours tackle the situation sensibly.

Be more understanding
I know teachers don’t enjoy punishing their students. Still I think that they should try to be more patient, loving and dedicated. If a student is facing problems in a subject or is unable to hand in an assignment on time, the teacher should understand what he is going through. She should know that the student finds it difficult to readily talk about his problems. But instead of being more sensitive to his needs, she punishes him.

I am not saying that all teachers are like that. Still, it would be much better if a teacher spoke kindly to a child who has done something wrong. He/she should explain to the student his mistake and make sure that he apologizes, after which she should forgive him.

Encroachments
Nowadays, encroachments can be seen in every nook and corner of a road. The reason for this may be our ever-growing population, most of which is not educated enough to get good jobs. In order to earn their bread and butter, they set up their tiny shops on the roads and footpaths.

The police can do a lot to stop these illegal occupations, but they choose to sit silently. These encroachments are the sole reason behind the traffic congestion and noise pollution on our roads. So they should be dealt with firmly.

Hacking
Computers, the Internet and e-mails all are quite useful and easy to use. But unfortunately some selfish people love to spoil everything. They have taught themselves new tricks to hack other people’s computers and e-mail accounts.

When an account is hacked, the user has to change his password or create a new account. It is a big hassle to start all over again. The rates of most Internet service providers are quite reasonable. I don’t know what people achieve through hacking. Most do it just for fun. While they may be enjoying themselves, it’s their victims who suffer. So I request all hackers to stop giving us so much trouble.

Restrictions
Some parents put too many restrictions on their children. For instance, they at times don’t allow them to visit their friends or go to the playground. Even though, they (the parents) used to do all this themselves when they were young.

The practice only leads to disputes between the parents and children who feel bored and offened by such restrictions. So, parents should give atleast a bit of liberty to their children who, in turn should not take undue advantage of their liberty.

Neglected city
Mirpurkhas is the fourth largest city of Sindh, yet it hasn’t been provided with the facilities enjoyed by most of the other cities.

The dilapidated roads stand unrepaired for ages. The population is increasing rapidly, but there are no plans for the construction of apartments. There is only one mobile telephone network. The traffic is congested, but there are no traffic signals to manage it. I request the concerned authorities to do something about these problems.
