1. I have a Pentium IV, model D845GLVA with 256MB RAM. Which graphic card within a Rs3,500 budget will be suitable for running games on it?

3. I want a high-speed cable net service within the range of Rs 500-800. Please advise.

EDITOR’S REPLY: 1. You can try the GeForce MX series or FX series for your requirements. However, you still won't get the kind of quality you're looking for. These are very basic cards and cannot be used for intense gameplay. For that, you will have to increase your budget to Rs 8,000 or above.
2. For books, libertybooks.com is an excellent site. For consumer electronics, there's beliscity.com and for computers and related items, I like makarts.com.
3. I am afraid I can’t help you out in this regard. You will have to look for local cable providers in your area.
Uploading movies
Is it possible for me to upload a short movie that I have directed on a website? If yes, which one?

I would recommend YouTube. YouTube is a social video sharing network and visitors to the site can upload any movie in any format. You can set your settings for the world to watch or just a few friends, if you want. URL: youtube.com.
Virus
I have a Pentium III. Recently, a virus infected my computer. I know this because:
1. Whenever I switch on my PC, a window named “BRONTOK.A [By: HVM31 — JowoBot #VM Community]” opens up on its own.
2. The computer frequently restarts on its own.
3. Also, when I am unable to move data to another computer because the system detects a virus.
I do not have antivirus software installed on my computer. Please advise.

Visit http:// housecall.trendmicro.com and use the Online Scanner to scan your system.
After this, please visit download.com and download AVG or AVAST, antivirus software, and install them on your system.
Web cache
How can I delete my internet files?

To delete your Web cache (the files on your system that are stored when you visit websites), in Internet Explorer: Go to Tools/Internet Options. In the General tab, you will notice “Delete Cookies” and “Delete Files”. Click both.
After this, if you look down in History, you will notice “Clear History”. Press that. This will erase information of all websites you have visited.
Finally, click on the Content tab, go down to Autocomplete and press that. Click on “Clear Forms & Clear Passwords Buttons”.
SDRAM error
I have Pentium II, 450MHz and AMD 3-D. I have two SDRAMS, 32MB and 64MB, installed on it. However, instead of 96MB, my computer only shows 64MB. How can I fix this error?

Please enter the BIOS of your system by pressing F2, Del or the relevant key at boot. Please check the system RAM the BIOS shows. If the BIOS is also showing 64MB RAM, that means your memory has problems. If the BIOS shows 96MB, however, you can relax.

1. I have switched to Mozilla's FireFox. It is my favourite browser now. You can get it from firefox.com.
2. The easiest way to do so is to use the Gmail Config Tool available at http://toolbar.google.com/ gmail-helper/GmailConfig.exe. However, the manual way would be to:
— Enable POP in your Gmail account by going into “Mail Settings” in Gmail.
— Open Outlook or Outlook Express.
— Click on the Tools menu, and select Accounts.
— Click on Add and then Mail.
— Enter your name in the Display Name field, and click on Next.
— Enter your full Gmail email address (username@gmail.com) in the Email Address field and click on Next.
— Enter “pop.gmail.com” in the Incoming Mail (POP3, IMAP or HTTP) Server field. Enter “smtp.gmail.com” in the Outgoing Mail (SMTP) Server field.
— Click on Next.
— Enter your Gmail username (including “@gmail.com”) in the Account Name field. Enter your Gmail password in the Password field and click on Next.
— Click on Finish.
— Highlight “pop.gmail.com” under Account and click on Properties.
— Click on the Advanced tab.
— Check the box next to “This server requires a secure connection (SSL)” under Outgoing Mail (SMTP).
— Enter “465” in the Outgoing mail (SMTP) field.
— Check the box next to “This server requires a secure connection (SSL)” under Incoming mail (POP3). The port will change to 995.
— Click on the Servers tab, and check the box next to “My server requires authentication”.
— Press OK.
You are all set to send and receive your Gmail from Outlook Express.
Orkut invitation
Is there any way to join Orkut without receiving an invitation?

Since Orkut is an “Invite Only” network, I am afraid the answer to that question is no. If you know a friend on Orkut, then tell him/her to:
1. Click on the Friends link in the blue bar at the top of the page.
2. Click on the Book tab at the right side of the name.
3. Enter your first and last name and email address, and click on the “add as a friend” button.
If you don't know anyone on Orkut, then please go to: http://www.gmailforums.com/index.php?showtopic=13654 and register your name, email address, and wait for someone to invite you.
