Software QUESTION: Please suggest a good software, which is not a shareware or a trial software, to copy a badly damaged disk.

Editor’s reply: You will have to consult an expert on this issue. I suggest that you contact a technician because retrieving data from a damaged disk is not possible from an ordinary drive. For this you will need special hardware.
Registration key 1. I want registration key for FreshDownload but whenever I try to get it, I get error messages. I have tried e-mailing them about this, but to no avail. 2. Can you please tell me whether Internet via cable is available in Quetta and for how much? Hasnain Raza chatto_7@yahoo.com
Try getting the latest 7.54 version of FreshDownload from . It is free, so you do not need to register in any way. To contact FreshDevices, please use the e-mail .
2. You can contact your nearest Internet cafes. They usually provide cable Internet to home users. The cost depends on the type of service they provide.
Dr Watson I am using original WindowsXP on a P4 with 512MB RAM. The problem is that whenever I try to select wallpaper in the Properties field of the desktop, the system stops working and the following message appears: “DrWatson Postmortem De-bugger has encountered an error and needs to close.” When I open task manager, I see a programme running by the name “drwtsn.exe”. When I cancel the programme, the system starts working normally. What could be the problem and how do I get rid of it? I also tried to repair my Windows but since I have updated it many times, the message I get is that I am trying to install an older version on a newer version. Bilal Qasim

This is nothing to worry about. Dr Watson (Drwtsn32. exe) gets installed in your system folder when you set up Windows. The default options are set the first time Dr Watson runs, which can be either when a program error occurs or when you start Dr Watson yourself.
When a programme error occurs in Windows, the system searches for an error handler to deal with it. If the system does not find an error handler, it says the program is not currently being debugged and considers the error to be unhandled.
The system then processes unhandled errors by looking in Registry Editor for a program error debugger. This is when Dr Watson comes in and, given Microsoft’s software, usually crashes the system.
Pop and SMTP options
Can you please suggest how I can access my Yahoo! mail in Outlook using POP and SMTP? Can I create a spare e-mail address at Yahoo! with the POP and SMTP option and receive all my normal mails delivered in the new (spare) mailbox downloading it via Outlook?
Riaz Rupani riazrupani@yahoo.com
Unfortunately, other than buying the premium service, there is no way to use SMTP and POP for Yahoo! directly.
Upgrading package
I have an Intel 1.10GHz processor with 128RAM and a 40GB hard disk. I want to upgrade my system. Please suggest the perfect upgrading package so that I am able to play games that require at least 32MB graphic card. Also, some games like “Stronghold” do not run properly on my system. Why is that?

If you want a gaming PC, then you will need at least 512MB RAM, and even in this case, 1GB is preferred. A 3GHz system can be quite costly for gaming and if you have no problem with the budget then go for the best gaming cards like Radeon 9800 or Geforce 6600 Series.
Task manager
I have a P3 with 733MHz processor, Geforce 128MB 3-D card, 512MB of RAM and a 40GB hard drive. I have installed WindowsXP SP2 on it. The problem is that whenever I press “Ctrl+Alt+Delete”, it does not show the task manager. Instead, an error occurs saying that the Task Manager has been disabled by the administrator. How do I solve this problem?

This error is caused by restrictions placed in Registry. DisableTaskMgr value is set to 1. To enable Task Manager, try any of these methods.
1. Click Start, Run and type this command exactly as given here:
2. Open Registry Editor (Regedit.exe) and navigate to HKCU > Software > Microsoft > Windows > CurrentVersion > Policies > System;
In the pane on the right, double-click DisableTaskMgr and set its data to 0;
3. Click Start, Run, type gpedit.msc and click OK. Navigate to the path;
User Configuration> Admini-strative Templates> System> Ctrl+Alt+Delete Options> Remove Task Manager. Double-click the Remove Task Manager option and set the policy to “Not Configured”.
Server restrictions
I use cable networking. The trouble is that the administrator does not allow P2P and has blocked it. Is there a way I could break the block?

There is no way to bypass the server restrictions of a program or closed Hosts. You will have to get access to the server to get through.
