System’s speed
QUESTION: I HAVE an Intel Pentium 4 processor (200GHz), having 256MB of RAM and 40GB of hard disk. When I play games or do some other work, like installing software or a game, my computer sometimes freezes. Also tell me what I should do to increase my system’s speed.

EDITOR’S REPLY: I would recommend that you get your system properly checked from a certified technician. The problem can be in your drivers or RAM. Kingston’s RAMs are the best. Also check for spyware and viruses.
You can also finetune your system with the help of system Property/advance/ and msconfig at Run command. We still recommend that you get your PC checked by your vendor.

Monitor screens

Reinstall your Display Drivers. You have not mentioned your OS, but whichever one you’re using, go to the Device Manager (Under Control Panel — System) and after selecting the Display Drivers, update Drivers. You can also try deleting the drivers and then go to Find New Hardware, which will restore the proper working drivers.

Get an anti-virus software and run a complete system scan. Then get the software ‘OnTrack Data Recovery 6.0’. It might recover your old files and also repair your Word files.
