Handy phone
Willcom’s new personal handyphone system (PHS) handset was unveiled last week. PHS is equipped with the new W-SIM card. It enables communication with a maximum speed of 128kbps and has 600KB of user memory to save 700 items in the address book.
Inflatable speakers
Ellula’s HotAir speakers are inflatable and can be plugged into a mini-amplifier, producing good quality sound. The sound resonates through the base of the speaker and spreads in all directions. They are easy to carry, weighing a mere 7oz each.
Fuel cell
NTT DoCoMo’s prototype model of a Direct Methanol Fuel Cell (DMFC) battery for 3G mobile phones. It will provide eight hours of talk time, which is three times the capacity of previous models.
