When I try to access my Hotmail account using Windows 98, it won’t open and I get message “error on page.” When I click on any link of the page it displays the same message.

Editor’s reply: There could be various reasons to this problem. So please check for the following one by one:
Browser incompatibility: Your Internet Explorer may not be compatible if it is an older version. You will need to upgrade it.
Temporary internet files: These files stored on your computer may be conflicting with files stored on the internet. You will need to delete your temporary internet files.
Poor internet connection: You may be using a cable internet service which at times has difficulties connecting to the site and loading the pages quickly.
The problem usually occurs when your cable operator is using a proxy server which may not support secure socket layer or may have a caching problem.
Contact your cable operator and mention the problem; he may need to refreshes his proxy content in order to display the page correctly.
A better solution is to use a reliable dial-up account.
