HERE is the new personal computer “Vaio P,” introduced by Sony, in a foldable style desktop PC with a built-in rechargeable battery which enables a user to move around the office or home easily. The Vaio P, with an estimated estimated price of $1,667, is equipped with 1.06GHz Intel Celeron processor on its CPU and a 17-inch wide LCD display (1280x768-pixel). — AFP

E-book reader
A MODEL unveils the prototype model of the electronic book player with the technology of the e-Paper which shows the comic contents on the paperback sized display. Fifteen Japanese companies, including Sony, 13 publishing companies and Japan’s printing giants Toppan and DNP formed the joint venture to publish electronic books which can be downloaded from the internet and will start the new service from next spring. — AFP
