WITH 200GB of storage and three CD megachangers, Escient FireBall provides a multitude of possibilities. It allows you to get display information into a VGA monitor or a TV by connecting the device to a touch pad VGA panel. It can be controlled via a wireless keyboard or a remote. The device also allows you to rip the CDs in your megachanger while you sleep. The interface is clear, and there’s a built-in lookup engine. To get Ethernet, you have to use a USB-to-Ethernet dongle adapter. Also, you can download to a handful of SonicBlue Rio and Compaq MP3 players via USB, but only if you aren’t using a USB Ethernet adapter.
