Revealing secrets

By Shaheer Khan

Personality tests reveal a lot, but studying a person’s signature does much more than that, writes Shaheer Khan

There’s a way of telling your personality to others – your signature. Professional graphologists say that it can reveal as much as your handwriting does!

Here are ways to know what a person is like by seeing their signature:

  • Rounded, legible signatures: a sign of honesty and reliability

  • A rightward slant: a friendly personality and an ability to communicate and mix with ease

  • Illegible signatures: this can be an attempt to deceive. The person may try to keep the thoughts a secret

  • A small squeezed-up signature: a sign of inhibition, and a need for safety and security

  • Circled signatures: person is slightly introverted, afraid of the world — this circle acts like a boundary between the person and others

  • Signatures with lots of loops and holes: person wants attention and is often loud and aggressive, with a habit of making him/herself known to everyone

  • An underlined signature: a desire to show his/her importance. It symbolizes an ego and a need for confidence

  • When a signature trails into a line: a sign of manipulation and deviousness. The person may not be sincere, and can be very clever

According to scientists, signature evaluation has been proved as one of the most accurate and fascinating methods of assessing personality tests. That’s why when you go for an interview in which they ask you to write an essay or short text it’s not only for seeing how well you can write, but also what type of a person you are.

Doodles are another way of determining the person’s personality, but are not given much importance because it varies from person to person. Those who like making their letters 3D, for instance, try to add detail and depth to what they’re talking about.
