With the upcoming winter season full of weddings and parties, designer Shayanne Malik has come up with a collection which is formal and elegant containing delicate handwork. The colours are vibrant with mixes of turquoise, amber, fuschia and sunkissed reds. The fabrics are Malik’s signature fusions with sheer chiffons and gossamer nets blended with opulent silks and jamawars. The embroidery is done in intricate zardozi and zari blended with resham. Embellishments used are crystals, tiki and semi-precious stones. —A.S.
