Fried treats

Fried chicken chunks


Ingredients:

1 kg chicken chunks (boneless)
2 tbsp red chilli powder
2 tbsp salt
2 tbsp ajinomoto
1/2 cup soya sauce
1/2 cup cornflour
1/2 cup maida
Oil to deep fry


Method:
Add red chilli powder with salt, ajinomoto, and soya sauce into chicken chunks and mix well. Leave the chicken to marinate for 1 hour. Mix cornflour and maida well, in a deep bowl, and roll the chicken chunks one by one. Heat the oil in a deep pan and and deep fry until golden brown. Take out and garnish with lemon slices. Serve hot and crispy with tomato ketchup.

 

Fried meat cubes


Ingredients:

1 kg meat (beef or mutton) (boneless)
2 tbsp ginger paste
2 tbsp garlic paste
1 tbsp salt
3 tbsp red chilli powder
2 tbsp garam masala powder
1/2 tsp black pepper powder
4 eggs
Oil for deep frying


Method:
Cut meat into small cubes. Add ginger paste, garlic paste, salt, red chilli powder, garam masala powder, and mix well. Marinate it for 3-4 hours. Heat oil in a deep frying pan. Whip 4 eggs in a deep bowl. One by one dip the marinated beef cubes into the eggs and fry on a low flame. Fry until tender and golden brown. Repeat the process and deep fry all the cubes. Serve hot with naan and green salad.

 

Plain fried chicken drumsticks


Ingredients:

10-12 chicken drumsticks
1/2 tsp salt
2 tbsp white flour (maida)
1 egg
1 tsp soya sauce
2 tsp white vinegar
Oil for deep frying


Method:
Marinate chicken drumsticks with salt, white vinegar, and soya sauce for 1 1/2 hours. Mix maida, eggs, and water to make a batter. Heat oil in a deep pan. Dip drumsticks in the batter and deep fry on medium flame. Serve hot with crispy coated fries and tomato ketchup.

 

Crispy coated fries


Ingredients:

2-3 big potatoes
1/2 cup white flour (maida)
1 tsp salt
1/4 tsp red chilli powder
1/2 tsp mustard powder
1/4 cup water
1 egg
Oil for deep frying


Method:
Make a thick batter out of flour, salt, red chili powder, egg, mustard powder, and water. Slice the potatoes in french fries style. Heat oil in a deep pan. Dip the fries into the batter and coat them. Fry on low heat until golden brown. Serve hot with tomato ketchup.

 

Fried cabbage


Ingredients:

1 medium size cabbage (shredded)
2-3 tbsp oil
1 lemon (juice)
2-3 green chillies (cut into rings)
1 tsp mustard seeds
Few leaves of coriander (chopped)
Salt to taste


Method:
Heat oil and add mustard seeds. When it starts popping, add the cabbage, green chillies, salt to taste, and coriander leaves, and remove from the fire within 2 minutes. When a little cool, add the lemon juice and toss well, serve as a dish.
