Floyd inflatable pig goes missing A Pink Floyd inflatable pig flew away as Roger Waters performed a version of the Pink Floyd song, Pigs. The organisers of the festival have put up a reward of 10,000 dollars for whoever finds and returns it including tickets for life for the festival. ![]() “It wasn’t really supposed to happen that way,” said Marcee Rondan, a Coachella spokeswoman. “People are putting search teams together to find it but it may never be seen again.” She added that the object would most likely lose air and deflate. Walters is said to have commented “that’s my pig!” as it drifted away during the gig. The inflatable beast is the width of two busses and has artwork of Uncle Sam holding two cleavers for cutting meat and bears slogans “fear builds walls” and “don’t be led to the slaughter.” The organisers of Coachella have asked anyone with any information to contact them on lostpig@coachella.com. The pig has been a regular feature at Pink Floyd concerts. Originally designed by Roger Waters, he retained the copyrights when he left the band in 1985 and demanded a sum of 800 dollars each time it would be used. Unwilling to pay the sum required, Pink Floyd, the band without Roger Waters, changed the pig’s gender by adding testicles. — MS Baltimore fest lands Dylan The record industry might be singing its woes on various fronts, but pop music festival mania appears to be continuing unabated. The Third Virgin Mobile Festival will put iconic rockers Bob Dylan, Chuck Berry and Iggy & the Stooges together with latter-day headliners Kanye West, Nine Inch Nails (NIN), Jack Johnson, the reunited Stone Temple Pilots and the Foo Fighters over the August 9-10 weekend in Baltimore.
