Mizmaar and Najam Sheraz spread the message of peace

As producer of the pop rock band Mizmaar, Kashan Admani puts on the producer’s hat one more time for the band’s third studio album. On the other hand, veteran pop singer Najam Sheraz is on the verge of releasing his eighth studio offering, and together, Mizmaar and Najam Shiraz collaborate on a prayer for the current catastrophic situation of the country in the form of Hamd.

The song is actually a Dua in which Najam and the Mizmaar vocalist, Daniyal Badshah sing together on a melody produced by Kashan while the lyrics are penned by the renowned lyricist, Sabir Zafar.

About the collaboration, Admani shares that, “We initially developed the song for Mizmaar only but later we decided that we should collaborate with a fellow artiste who has a track record of doing national songs and themes. Since Najam Sheraz is a close friend of ours and everybody knows his contribution in terms of national and spiritual songs, we thought that he was the ideal person to collaborate with on a project of this sort.”

So what message does this track convey? “It’s a message for the nation to unite and fight the evils of our society in this time of need. And it’s a prayer to God to help us fight,” says Kashan in a passionate tone.

The track is the first motivational song by Mizmaar and its video is expected to be shot in the coming days. — Shahzeb Shaikh
