STARBUZZ: Going separate ways
Is this the season to call it quits? Just ask Zara Sheikh and Mekaal who, according to the grapevine, have called off their engagement and are now going their separate ways. While insiders say that Zara was the more committed of the two, it’s no big secret that it takes two to tango and so with Mekaal unwilling to dance to her tune, guess there was nothing much the gal could do except call it a day as well. Well, at least she now has a promising film career in Bollywood to look forward to.
Another Lahori relationship that has allegedly ended up in more heartbreak is that of songbird Humera Arshad and her beefy beau, Ahmed Butt. The Khawar Riaz discovery made many a female hearts flutter when he broke through the scene and later shattered them by tying the knot with the singing diva in the recent past. But just as some things are not to be, we are now led to believe that the couple are no longer an item. Sad, but true? —F.S.
