Playing tag
A well-attended fashion show featuring european and American labels such as Armani, Kookai, BCBG, DKNY, Gap, Babe, Anne Klein, Calvin Klein, Jones of New York, Tagg, Guess, Brazil, Diesel, etc, was held in Karachi in the last week of April with the Metropolitan Innerwheel Club of Karachi in the driving seat as the orgainzers of the event.
The clothes essentially comprised western wear with innovative cuts and striking colours, all set off by intricate trinkets and accessories. The no-frills choreography was kept straight by Imran Kureishi and the make-up effect to a bare minimum by Depilex on the models, namely Iraj, Rubab, Zhalay, Ameer Zeb Khan and Iffi among others. The proceeds from the fashion show and banquet dinner were given to charity.—M.H.
