Lollywood’s most determined actress Reema has teamed up with a soft drink company for Pakistan’s first cola spot featuring a film personality. The ad industry in India did it a while ago.
Visibly ecstatic with her ‘victory’ over the other actresses, Reema says it’s about time film personalities were given a go at such commercials. “Why do you think India is faring so well? Because their film personalities are constantly being given exposure,” she says. “Over here, the multinationals have so far played no such role.”
On her own involvement in the advertisement, which was filmed in Malaysia, the brown-haired and brown-eyed, not-too-humble damsel says; “It’s a big step for me and I feel lucky that I was chosen among so many models and actresses. The cricketers and musicians have done well. Now, the film industry’s image and reputation lie on my shoulders.”
The ad was launched at a Karachi hotel, and Reema can only hope that she will outdo the previous Imran Khan and Wasim Akhtar ad.—-Quratulain S. Hussain
