STARBUZZ: Much ado about nothing
So, is it truly quits this time for Junaid Jamshed? His fans have heard it so many times that they’re not sure what to believe anymore. But going by his thick beard and shalwar kurta, which have become a regular feature with him for some time now, it seems that way at least. Just in case, we’ll wait a little while longer to be very sure.
As for the beard, it seems to scare foreigners who see Osama bin Laden in anyone sporting one, as was the case with Junaid recently when he was out of the country. Seeing him enter a restaurant and then coming towards the table which was occupied by a group of friends, two Indian girls jumped from their seats and ran to the women’s washroom to hide from this potential Osama. They returned once they saw Junaid disappear. The friend calmed them down by explaining that he was a famous singer from Pakistan and not the famous Osama! So much for the media hype abroad!—K.H

Jennifer Lopez’s former father-in-law Larry Judd still blames Ben Affleck for breaking up the marriage of his son, Cris. “Cris is still probably the best thing that ever happened to her,” Judd was reported as saying. During the filming of Gigli, Larry Judd said “I thought Mr Affleck would honour a married woman and not go right into the trailer.” Lopez has insisted that nothing happened with Ben till she was separated from Cris, but Judd Sr says, “She was infatuated with (Affleck) from the start.”—R&M
