These three gorgeous girls stare down from countless billboards dotting the major cities. TV producers cannot have enough of them for the sole reason that they make drama buffs like us believe that what we see on TV is the only reality in life. In TV commercials, they will you to buy a revolutionary new product that can make you just as beautiful, filling your life with much-needed zest. Such is their charisma.
Salma, Fauzia and Sherry live and breathe in the exotic dreamworld called showbusiness. For them, each day dawns with a schedule marked with shoots for fashion glossies, commercials, recordings, fashion shows and lots more.
It’s hard to believe that their whirlwind romance with the camera started hardly a year ago. Within this short span of time, these girls have come to be epitomized as some of the most successful models on their way up, destined to inherit the crown from the veterans doing the rounds on the fashion bloc.
Dusky Salma has been modelling for leading consumer brands in the market. Her face is her fortune and the camera loves capturing it on film. However, things were not so smooth for her during her early stages as a model. She was scoffed at by beauticians as being too wooden! But then, some of the biggest names in international fashion have had to take undue criticism in their stride during the initial stages of their careers, and Salma is no exception to the rule.
Today, she is anything but the shy person she was way back in her school days.

Keen on acting in TV plays as well, she played the lead opposite Shariq Roomi in the Eid play Aik choti si kahani shown on ARY Digital. Salma has two upcoming ventures in the pipeline. Her role-models are Iraj, Vinny and Tania Shafi.
Fauzia, on the other hand, is her own person. She started in and around the same time as Salma and Sherry. The wheels of fortune started turning for her as soon as the call for ‘lights, camera, action’ was given for commercial shoots.
Fauzia has yet to accept any offers for TV productions, and she says she will do so when the right offer comes along, something which stands for film offers as well. For the time being, however, she has her hands full with shoots for fashion glossies and has graced the covers of almost all the reputable magazines here.
She says working with credible photographers has helped her tremendously.
But the thing that really sets her apart is that at the time she entered the fray, Fauzia was already married to Amir whom she calls a “very understanding and loving person,” and whose support and backing has always been invaluable for her and her flourishing career. She’s totally bowled over by Iraj and Amina Shafaat, whose nature and work she admires most.
Sherry is the most bubbly of the trio, maintaining her cheerful disposition even in times of adversity. It is this attitude that has won her the coveted crown, along with commercial work.
Besides a passion for good food — a love affair that is taxing on the nerves keeping in mind her vocation — Sherry is also romancing the idiot box to the hilt. She has worked with known directors in the field of TV productions.
And although she does not harbour any musical inclinations, Sherry went ahead and did a music video for Tanveer Afridi’s Jana jana just for the heck of it. When asked why, she quotes good payment and the experience as the major contributing factors.
Speaking of the trivial issue of payments, Sherry draws a hard bargain. Recently, it was learned that she was approached by the likes of Ajab Gul, Khawar Riaz and even Shehzad Gul to sign on the dotted line for their big-screen ventures. However, with the issue of payments unresolved (they were offering way too less than the quoted fee), she declined. Sherry is quick to remind that she will only accept worthy offers that also offer her something lucrative in financial terms.
As for role models, Vinnie and Iraj are her all-time favourites, next to a lavish buffet spread, of course.
So there you have it — three lovely girls who are out to paint the town red with the colours of their diverse talent. There’s no stopping them. Armed with the arsenal of youthful good looks and splendid physiques, they’re out to conquer the showbiz terrain and claim it in their name, and have loads of fun while doing it. What the future holds for them may be uncertain, but judging by the looks of things at present, it’s quite rosy.
