Vote for a change

Published Apr 16, 2013 02:02am

we need to understand that these elections are not only for table talk.

I hope that this year everyone would caste their vote because it is their responsibility.

It is we who can bring a change in the country.

No matter whom you support and with whom you keep affiliations, what really matters is your vote. And that could only be possible by taking up our responsibility.

So as responsible Pakistanis, we should caste our vote for a change.

The vote from educated men is not the same as from an illiterate one?. The vote will not change any thing but the mind set will. Even if I knew that tomorrow the world would go to pieces, I would still plant my apple tree. My apple tree is education.

I think change begins from one's self. We must change ourselves and the societal change would ensue. The cause and effect is at great work here. Because we are corrupt the system is corrupt; it's not the other way round. Systems are composed of humans - it is ultimately the humans who must be the catalyst of change starting from one's own self. Until the dawn of the day that such a change happens, there would be no change in the system. I am sure all the people know this; yet somehow it bewilders me to notice that the vast majority of us are reluctant to walk the talk.

Even overseas Pakistanis should be allowed to vote. ECP has still lot time to devise some foolproof method.
