BEING a student of literature and regional languages, I was pleased to learn that Muqtadra Qaumi Zaban (National Language Authority) would open its outlet in Karachi. This outlet will showcase titles published from time to time to facilitate its readers who can hardly afford bearing skyrocketing prices of postal expense to purchase its titles from Islamabad.

There are a good number of reasons to purchase the titles from Muqtadra Qaumi Zaban (MQZ). It brings about books encouraging academic research. It publishes titles on a wide array of subjects, particularly literature, languages, dictionary, translations and books.

It provides suitable equivalents of terminology of various terms being used in sciences, arts and other disciplines of knowledge to widen the sphere of knowledge for Urdu. In spite of being busy in my official assignments and academic research, I managed to visit the office of MQZ  in the premises of the Urdu Dictionary Board at NIPA intersection, Karachi. I saw the door of the office closed.

I request the MQZ to see whether these offices are serving their purposes in disseminating information about the importance of national and regional languages. There are many students who are willing to buy titles published by MQZ. They can get these titles if its regional outlets are open.
