LAHORE, April 8: Caretaker Information and Broadcasting Minister Arif Nizami on Monday inquired after renowned folk singer Reshma who is undergoing treatment at a local hospital.

The minister said Reshma was a national asset and had earned great respect for Pakistan through her talent. He assured her the federal government would bear expenses of her treatment, and announced Rs500,000 on the government’s behalf.

Meanwhile, doctors briefed the minister about the health of the folk singer. The minister prayed for her early recovery.

Reshma’s son Muhammad Latif and daughter were also present. — APP
