Cricket: new players wanted

TIME is now ripe for Younis Khan and others like him to retire before they are axed.

The Pakistan Cricket Board should start looking for talented players rather than digging from underneath those tried and tested in the years gone by.

Australia and England are in the best shape as they are trying out those who come up to their standard to rule cricket as in the past.

If PTI win elections, maybe we will have a different approach in how we nurture talent, be fair in selection and maintain a good discipline in all sports. We need to change our sports culture and attitudes first.

We have talents that has been victinized in the past by Ejaz Butt. They are dependable and talented. The players are Shazaib Hasan and Fawad Alam. they should be tried and tested to get in the boots of Yunus and Misbah.
