IN your newspaper of March 19 a photograph on page 5 showed students of a government school in Lower Dir taking their annual examinations by sitting on an open ground with no tables and chairs.
This is pathetic. It shows how we treat our children. It’s a shame that we spend only two per cent of our budget on education.
If we want to progress, we must invest in our children. Give them the best education and facilities. They are our hope, they are the future builders of our country.
It is a crime that we spend so little on education. They need books, tables and chairs, good teachers and schools with roofs.

Education is the passport to the future, for tomorrow belongs to those who prepare for it today. What we invest in education in our new generation is zilch, nada, and zero. It is time to open our eyes and brain or else we would be not be able to keep pace with the rapid changing world..

Why don't you look at our army officers, if you want to see the progress. You can compare their life style with the best of the world. That is the progress.

Noble suggestions indeed Dr. Khurrum. Unfortunately, an educated, thoughtful and aware populace would be a nightmare for the various groups ruling and profiting from Pakistan. Things are perfect the way they are. Infact, our ruling groups must have cringed in disgust at the same picture just like you did, but only due to the fact that they realized these children were still attaining some form of education.

Sir problem is here western or eastern education is education. For the eastern education what do we have these seminaries where kids are taught who is wajib ul qatal and who is right muslim. You can have your own eduaction system but for this you need to be in system to change the system first beat them up by learning and then change it to your desire thats what west has done so far. Stop living in past
