PESHAWAR, March 23: Two members of a family were killed and four others injured when unidentified persons opened firing on a vehicle on Kohat Road on the outskirts of Peshawar on Saturday morning.

An official of Mattani police station said that a six-member family belonging Kurram Agency was on way from Peshawar to Kohat when unidentified armed men targeted its vehicle in Mattani area.

Two persons identified as Hameedullah Khan and Shah Nawaz were killed while Mohammad Ayub, Tahirullah, Naveedur Rehman and Hanif sustained bullet injuries in the attack, the official said.

He said that the injured people were unconscious but their relatives avoided nominating anyone in the FIR and just got a murder case against unidentified attackers. — Bureau Report
