LAHORE, March 22: Apprehending damage to the Metro Bus System due to expected rush for the PTI event at Iqbal Park, the police on Friday requested the provincial government to suspend the service for a day. The Punjab government, however, refused to stop the service.
According to DIG (Operations) Tahir Rai, the Punjab police requested the government to suspend the service in anticipation of unusual rush, but it did not agree. The service would function as usual, he added.
