Live and let live

Published April 25, 2013

I WOULD like to draw the attention of the authorities concerned towards the discrimination happening within the communities of Karachi.

Pakistan was built to support communities of all sorts to reside within the country as one people. The fact is that Pakistan belongs to everybody and not just one ethnic group or one community.

Many ethnic groups live in Karachi, besides Hindus, Christians, Zoroastrians, Chinese and others.

However, parts of Karachi have been divided in such a way that it spreads a negative image of the city. In fact, if you don’t belong to that ethnic group, you are scared of entering the locality. But then I should also mention here that there are many places in Karachi where several groups live and mix together with gay abundance.

The message here is: live and let live. Karachi is for all and so is Pakistan.
