RAWALPINDI: In a late night development, four leaders of the All Pakistan Muslim League (APML) were booked under the anti-terrorism act and 13 activists of the party were arrested on the charge of attacking lawyers here on Tuesday.

Malik Arif, an inspector of the Civil Lines police, confirmed that a case had been registered against Dr Amjad, the APML general secretary and candidate for NA-48; Nasrullah Jalal, a candidate for NA-55 and PP-11, Chaudhry Shafiq and a woman leader.The police said 13 workers of the APML were arrested in connection with the incident.

Sajid Mehmood complained to the police that he and other lawyers were going to the ATC when some political activists believed to be from the APML attacked them. — Staff Reporter
