PESHAWAR: At least three Improvised Explosive Devices (IEDs) were defused by Bomb Disposal Squad personnel at Dardar Abdullah Baba in Badaber’s Sheikhan area on the outskirts of Peshawar.

BDS sources told the explosives were fitted with timers and were defused due to the timely intervention of the bomb disposal squad upon receiving information.

In other news, television channels reported that two suicide bombers had entered Peshawar city to carry out terrorist activities targeting high profile installations such as police stations, political gatherings, the airport and other sensitive areas.

A high security alert was issued in the city and security was beefed up after media reports.
