There are loads of apps to enhance our productivity not only on computers but also on our cell phones. For this, we are going to explore a website that is full of educational games, activities and apps — www.abcya.com. This is a website full of free stuff — all the apps, games and activities for kids are categorised according to their age group, viz. kindergarten to grade five. The website owner claims that the activities have been approved and created by certified school teachers. The colourful layout of the website is well-designed and clutter-free, helping you dig deep into the educational activities, apps and games. The activities and applications provide kids of primary classes with an interactive way of learning. The categories are divided into K, 1, 2, 3, 4 and 5. The website focuses on language arts, basic computer skills and math — the areas which are essential to have expertise in. Some of the activities are equipped with audio so that it becomes interesting as well as easy to understand for kindergarten kids. You can navigate through the pages by clicking on the grade tree on the homepage; the respective grade page opens with activities, games and apps all related to the age group you are searching. Easy apps include Find Vocabulary — this activity helps kids to learn computer vocabulary by searching through a room cluttered with computer and technology related objects. And computer input and output devices make you learn about whether the device you use is for input information or is it used for output information. Cup stacking — keyboarding, will make you learn typing quickly. All you have to do is to stack and un-stake the cups by typing on the keyboard.
