KARACHI: All private schools will remain closed for a second consecutive day on Tuesday due to the uncertain situation in the city.
This was announced by chairman of the Private Schools Management Association Sharafuz Zaman and Haider Ali of the Peak Private Schools Management Association here on Monday evening.
“We understand that the annual exams are near and these unscheduled holidays are not good for the children, especially after having already missed so many days. But we have no choice when petrol pumps are closed, public transport is off the roads and the teachers and students cannot come to schools. How can we then be unreasonable and keep schools open?” said Mr Zaman.
“Therefore, we appeal to the government to kindly listen to the people's demands in order to help them end the sit-in while allowing us to return to normality.”
