KARACHI: Chief Election Commissioner (CEC) of Pakistan Justice (Retd) Fakhruddin G. Ebrahim on Tuesday visited the ERV-Facilitation/ Coordination Cell of the Pakistan Army at Sindh Election Commission Office here.

The CEC hailed the role of army officials in the process of verification of electoral rolls and called upon them to speed up their efforts to further improve the process, said a statement.

He said army officials will remain associated with the verification process of electoral rolls till its end, to monitor the process.

He said any complaint, with regards to verification of electoral rolls, should be communicated to the ERV-Facilitation/ Coordination Cell of the Pakistan Army and to the office of the Sindh Election Commission.

Ebrahim said that the staff concerned should also carry their Computerised National Identity Cards (CNICs) during the verification of electoral rolls process.
