KARACHI, Jan 24: Maqbool Ahmed struck a second-half brace to help Baloch Mohammadan thrash Rizwan Sports 4-0 in their match of the DG Rangers Sindh Football tournament here on Thursday.

After first-half strikes by Gul Mohammad and Nadir Ali, Maqbool added two goals to give his side a comprehensive victory at the People’s Football Stadium on the day four games were held in the tournament.

Mohammad Ayaz struck a second-half winner as Makran Sports defeated Baloch Mujahid 1-0 while goals in each half from Zain-ul-Abedin and Zubair Ahmed helped Shafi Eleven Malir down National Shaheen 2-0.

In the final game of the day, National Fighter overcame Babol Sports 4-3 on penalties after the game had ended 1-1 after regulation time as Asif Khan’s opener for the winners was cancelled out by Aftab.—Sports Reporter
