RAHIM YAR KHAN, Jan 22: Pakistan Muslim League-Functional (PML-F) Chief Pir Sahib Pagara will decide about the fate of the sons of Governor Makhdoom Ahmed Mahmood on Wednesday (today) after media reports that they have joined the Pakistan People’s Party (PPP), says PML-F Punjab President Mustafa Khar.

Member of the National Assembly Mustafa Mahmood and Member of the Provincial Assembly Murtaza Mahmood were elected on the PML-F platform in by-elections. On Sunday, former prime minister Yousuf Raza Gilani announced their joining the PPP.

Khar said the Makhdooms should resign from their assembly seats if they had left the party. He said as it appeared that the Makhdooms had not contradicted the media reports about joining the PPP.

Khar is likely to dissolve the party’s provincial body soon. Khar has called PML-F Senior Punjab Vice-President Zafar Tareen to discuss party matters.
