Sticking to democracy at the cost of bad governance and all the consequences thereafter will tarnish the name of democracy. In fact, it already has even though it is a crude form of democracy which is being practised here. It would take time before someone elected feels responsible for delivering what is expected of him. Let us bear with patience the birth pangs of this universally-acceptable system till we are mature enough to abide by the rules it dictates.
