HANGU: A gas explosion in a coal mine, situated in Hangu's Lower Orakzai tribal region's Doli area in Hangu, killed seven coalmine workers, DawnNews reported on Monday.

According to media reports, the explosion occurred due to accumulation of gases inside the mine and all victims hailed from Shangla district of Khyber Pakhtunkhwa.

No further details were available till the filing of this report.
