SWABI, Dec 4: Speakers on the opening day of a five-day training workshop for women here on Tuesday said that imparting education and training to women could enable them to actively participate in social and economic activities.

The training is being organised by Pakistan Workers Federation (PWF) at Samajee Behbood Rabita Council (SBRC) office and attended by women representatives of civil society and trade unions from Mardan and Malakand division.

The PWF leaders said that objective of the training was to produce trainers from among the workers community and civil society and build the capacity of women workers for promotion of trade unions and education in the area.

Roohul Amin, a civil society activist, praised the collaboration of civil society and trade union, saying it would minimise problems of workers in the province. He asked the participants to take interest in this useful training.
