KECH, which is one of the most popular districts of Balochistan, possesses a wide river called Kech (in local language Kech Kor).

The links of the river are directly connected to Mirani dam and bridge of the river connects Turbat city to many regions of the province such as Panjgur, Mand, Shahrak, etc. Unfortunately, bridge was broken on June 20, 2007, in a flood.  A few years ago, its rebuilding was started but it is yet to be completed due to lack of interest by local politicians. The building material being used to rebuild the bridge is of substandard quality.

The local people’s representatives should ensure that an honest contractor is given the task to build a strong bridge.
