RAWALPINDI, Nov 9: The red carpet was rolled out for the premiere of Skyfall — 23rd spy film in James Bond series — at Cinepax here on Friday evening which attracted a large number of residents of Rawalpindi and Islamabad.
An interesting feature of the red carpet show was models dressed up like the characters of the movie. Prominent among the models were Fauzia Khan from Karachi and Abdullah from Lahore.
The ambiance for the premiere was created. Large-size posters portraying scenes from the movie were set up inside the cinema house to attract the people into watching the movie.
“We have arranged the model show and red carpet premiere of Skyfall to revive the trend of watching movies in cinema houses,” said Arslan Ahmad Khan, one of the organisers, while talking to Dawn.
He said that Bond’s popularity in this part of the world could be gauged from the rising number of people coming to the premiere show.
He said that the model show was arranged to give the people a chance to see different characters of the movie.
“I grew up watching James Bond films. I enjoyed every film from Sean Connery to the present Daniel Craig,” said Mohammad Umer, a film lover, while talking to Dawn.
Munib Ahmed, a film crazy, said that he came from F-7 to watch the movie because in Islamabad they were deprived of cinema facility.
Alesha Nawaz said that the new Daniel Craig was right choice for the James Bond character film. “I have thoroughly enjoyed all three movies of new James Bond,” she said.
