LAHORE, Nov 1: The Punjab Finance Department is learnt to have asked the federal government to pay to the province the remaining Rs18 billion out of its total NFC Award share of Rs39.90 billion.
In a letter, the finance department has reportedly maintained that the government in the last leg required the funds for completing various development projects it had initiated. “Pay the amount or the province will approach the prime minister,” the letter says. — Staff Reporter
